Meet The Team.

Rob graduated from the University in 2004 and started working as a receptionist at WW Thorne Insurance in Sussex shortly afterwards.  He received his Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in 2007 and his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 2010.   Rob has progressed through the insurance brokerage to work in every role.  Currently, he is a partner and the VP of Commercial Operations.  Rob has been involved with a few organizations in his spare time. He helped create the Dominion Park Ice Fishing association, was a member of the Saint John West Business Association and spent two years on the Board of Directors of the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce.  Currently, he is a junior curling instructor and the 2nd VP of the Carleton Curling Club. 

Rob lives on the West Side of Saint John with his beautiful wife Nicole, their two daughters Rachel and Sylvie, and their four-legged friends  Jag and Poise.  When Rob has some down time, he loves to curl, golf, hunt, fish and go camping with his family and friends.

Amanda began her career with Carnaghan Thorne Insurance Group in 2015 as an administrative assistant. She continued to develop her skills within the industry and became a licensed insurance broker in 2021 after completing her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation.

Throughout her time with the company, Amanda has taken on a variety of roles, including training new hires, supporting the Broker Support Team, and working as a Sales Broker. Her dedication to helping others—whether clients or colleagues—has been a constant throughout her career.

In 2025, Amanda was promoted to Office Manager, where she now oversees daily operations, supports staff development, and works to ensure a positive and efficient environment for both the team and clients. Known for her reliability and willingness to assist wherever needed, she remains a steady source of leadership and support within the office.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending quality time with her husband, their two children, Alexander and Emma, and their beloved pups.

Bringing with her over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Beth joined the Carnaghan Thorne Insurance Team in 2019.  Beth obtained her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in 2013 and specializes in both personal & commercial insurance.

In her spare time, Beth enjoys spending time with her family and friends, but especially enjoys her time spent with her three grandchildren.

Alanna has been working in the insurance industry since 2019 and joined the Carnaghan Thorne team in December 2022 as a broker.  Alanna obtained her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in 2024 and focuses primarily on personal lines insurance.

Outside of work, she is a cat mom to Goose and Luna, an avid reader, a music lover, and is currently learning to play bass. You can often find her flipping through vinyl at local record shops.

Abbi joined Carnaghan Thorne in October 2023, after graduating from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She is also working hard to earn her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation.

Abbi loves spending her free time exploring local thrift stores, where she can indulge her passion for collecting books & antiques.

Also, during her leisure time, she loves to immerse herself in the world of video games, where she enjoys exploring different virtual landscapes with her fiancé Alex.

Abbi is also a proud fur parent to two adorable kitties, Yuri & Anakin, who keep her company & enrich her daily life.

Heather joined the Carnaghan Thorne Insurance Group team in November 2024, bringing over 8 years of experience in both personal and commercial insurance. She is currently working toward completing her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation to further enhance her expertise.

A native of the Kennebecasis Valley, Heather enjoys spending her free time gardening, beachcombing for sea glass, and cherishing moments with her friends and family.

Nicole comes from a multi-generational line of insurance professionals, so when the opportunity presented itself to join the Carnaghan Thorne team in 2013, she decided to continue in the family tradition. After learning the ropes as the office administrator, she soon started working toward her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation and transitioned into the role of a broker. She has been providing profession advice and service ever since.

Nicole graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and then obtained her CAIB in 2016.

In her spare time, she can be found enjoying the harbour front with her pup, tackling a DIY project, whipping up a batch of tasty treats, catching up on a little reality tv, or spending time with her friends and family.

Nicole prides herself in taking the time to build valuable connections with her clients, which enables her to tailor policies to their individual needs. She always enjoys a quick chat to hear about how the family is doing and being filled in on life’s milestones before getting down to business.

Alex joined Carnaghan Thorne Insurance in June 2025 as a broker and has been part of the insurance industry since 2021. Specializing in personal lines insurance, Alex is dedicated to helping clients find the right coverage with clarity and confidence. Outside of work, he enjoys hockey, soccer, golf, and spending time with friends and family.

Trina joined the Carnaghan Thorne Insurance Group in June 2025, bringing with her 13 years of Insurance experience. Trina obtained her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) Designation in 2019. She works primarily on personal lines Insurance such as Auto, Home, Recreational, Marine and as well she has experience with Commercial Insurance.

Trina loves spending her free time with her Family and Friends, she loves music, is an avid curler and loves spending time outside on her ATV.

Lori has worked in the insurance industry since 2000 and has enjoyed meeting the clients and working along side her coworkers. She joined the Carnaghan Thorne Insurance group in February 2012 as a part-time receptionist.  This gave her more time to spend with her husband and two sons. When her sons got older, she then moved into a full- time position in the broker support team where she completes all the broker work on the company portals.

She loves hanging out with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.  In her spare time she goes for runs, walks on the beach in St. Martins, and travelling.

Kari started selling life insurance in 2019 at Co-Operator’s Insurance Co. and moved into auto and home insurance sales. She joined our team in September of 2020 as the receptionist and worked her way up to a broker. Kari completed her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in April of 2023. 

Kari’s favorite time spent is with her nephew Aiden.
